WHAT's GAIN 3

WHAT’S GAIN 3?
I start quoting W.E. B Du Bois “Make yourself do unpleasant things so as to gain the upper hand of yourself”. Doing unpleasant things to the flesh is profitable; doing pleasant things to the spirit is profitable as well. John 6 vs. 63b : It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. Matthew 26 vs. 41: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. When one walks in the spirit and not flesh, he will not fulfill the lust of the flesh; which is a great gain. This flesh of ours is weak and will always tempt us to go after things of the world. The flesh will always want to be pleased with worldly things, but the spirit is not willing to go after things of the world. Many are pleasing their flesh and nourishing it with worldly things, but their spirit man is lacking. The bible said the flesh profiteth nothing; it is the spirit that quickeneth.
Many find it difficult to engage in spiritual exercise to fortify their spirit man. It is good to always be after the things of the spirit. Romans 8 vs.5: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the spirit the things of the spirit. Vs.6: For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Vs. 7: Because the carnal mind is enmity against GOD; for it is not subject to the law of GOD, neither indeed can be. Vs. 8: So then they that are in the flesh cannot please GOD. Vs. 9 defines this spirit, but ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of GOD dwell in you. Now if any man has not the spirit of CHRIST he is none of his. A man must connect his spirit to the Holy Spirit and be led by it. Only a righteous and holy life can accommodate the Holy Spirit.
Roman 8 vs. 14: For as many as are led by the spirit of GOD, they are the sons of GOD. I would rather gain what profit my spirit than flesh. Engaging in spiritual exercise like praying, fasting, meditating the word of GOD profits and edifies the spirit. Romans 8 vs. 13: For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. It is well with us….

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...
