RETURNING THANKS

RETURNING THANKS
Returning thanks is expressing appreciation and gratitude. It is a new month. Many started this year with us, but they are no more, we give glory to GOD because it is by His mercies that we are not consumed. We might have passed through a lot, but GOD’s mercy has kept us thus far. We might have faced a lot of difficulties, confrontations, challenges but GOD’s grace and mercies has sustained us. Let’s give praise to whom praises is due. Let’s show gratitude and appreciation to GOD. When there is life, there is hope. You have hope; I have hope because I am still living and not dead. Only the living can praise GOD, the dead cannot. Lamentations 3 vs. 21-23: This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. GOD is faithful thus far, return thanks for His faithfulness. GOD delights in a thankful heart. Many show ingratitude towards GOD. Many sleep at night and wake up the next morning complaining or grumbling. No one knows when he really sleeps and yet we see the breaking of another day and don’t show gratitude to our Maker. It is a common thing in the world today; many see sleeping and waking up as a normal routine that must occur. Some wanted to sleep, but can’t sleep; some slept and never woke up. As a believer, when you wake up early in the morning; the first thing to do is to return thanks to GOD; for He is responsible for your sleeping and seeing another breaking of the day. Men are insatiable, they cannot be satisfied. Many have food but cannot eat; many can eat but have no food, many have food and can eat but still complain about something. Whether the situation is bad we are to show gratitude to GOD, whether it is good we are to return thanks to GOD.  The bible said in 1 Thessalonians 5 vs. 18:  In everything give thanks:  for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. How do you feel when you did something tangible for someone, and he refused to express appreciation or gratitude?

However, only one leper returned thanking GOD out of ten lepers healed by JESUS. Only grateful believers grow in the understanding of GOD’s grace. Luke 17 vs. 12-19:  And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests.   And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks:  and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed?  but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way:  thy faith hath made thee whole. JESUS asked where are the nine? Are you among the nine? The nine will ask and they will be given, but will refuse to return thanks. The nine will knock a door and it will open, but they will refuse to return thanks to the door opener. The nine will seek and they shall find, but will refuse to return thanks to GOD. No matter your present situation, return thanks to GOD for what He has done before, what he will do and what he will keep doing. I return thanks to GOD on behalf of all readers on this platform, may His praises never cease in our lips. Happy New Month!!!

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
