WORK ON THE WORD 2!
David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.

             
Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natural face in a glass. For he beholds himself, and goes his way; and immediately forgets what manner of man he was. GOD’s word is a mirror; it reveals and shows the thought and attitude of the heart. No wonder it is pure and as silver tried in a furnace and purified seven times. We are to be steadfast in GOD’s word. We are to hear and do his words. We are not to deceive ourselves by hearing and not doing what GOD’s word says. He who does GOD’s word is blessed in everything he does. James 1 vs. 25: But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. Prosperity, success and blessings are attached to doing GOD’s word. On a final note, I quote from 1 Thessalonians 3 vs. 16: Let the word of CHRIST dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the LORD. FAITHFUL WHO HAD PROMISED To be faithful is to be reliable, worthy of trust and consistent with reality. A faithful man pledges and might later be unfaithful. For instance, couples make vows at the altar during their wedding, but these vows don’t stop the man or woman from breaking promises and vow.
