BEING FULL OF YOURSELF

 BEING FULL OF YOURSELF
The flesh will always want to be pleased. The spirit is willing, it quickeneth; but the flesh is weak and profits nothing. Engaging yourself in worldly things draws GOD’s Spirit far from you. If you draw nearer to GOD, He will also draw nearer to you. Many hearts are filled with ungodly thing. A man’s heart should be guarded with all diligence for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4 vs. 23: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. A man’s heart must be filled with godly things. The Psalmist said in Psalm 119 vs. 11: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you. He knew worldly things might occupy his heart; he hid GOD’s word inside his heart; so he might not sin against GOD. When a man is full of himself, GOD cannot fill him. When a man is full of himself, he walks after the flesh and fulfills the lust of the flesh. Galatians 5 vs. 16- 17: This I say then, walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the spirit, and the spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other; so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. It is important to be filled with the Holy Spirit; rather than being filled with worldliness. The spirit is contrary to the flesh. When a man is full of himself, he is under the law. Galatians 5 vs. 18: But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. When a man is full of himself, he is of the world and the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2 vs. 15-16: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. Vs. 17: And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of GOD abideth forever. The will of GOD is walking in the Spirit, the will of GOD is being filled by the Spirit of GOD. The disciples were fully filled with the Spirit of GOD, on the day of Pentecost. After that encounter, they were bold and could perform miracles, signs and wonders which they couldn’t do before.

Act 1 vs. 8:  But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:  and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. The bible said as many that are led by the Spirit of the LORD, they are sons of GOD. They are spirit conscious than flesh. When a man is full of himself, he is automatically saying no place for GOD. GOD is a jealous GOD; He told Moses and the Israelites thou shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20 vs. 3-5: Thou shall have no other gods before me. Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shall not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the LORD thy GOD am a jealous GOD, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me. Readers, you will observe and discover whatever you engage your heart with, tells what becomes of you. GOD should have a place in our lives, nothing should take that place. We need HIM more than ever before. He must be exalted above all other things. It is well with us……

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
