OBEYING GOD RATHER THAN MEN.

OBEYING GOD RATHER THAN MEN
Acts 5 vs. 29: Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, we ought to obey GOD rather than men. To obey is to do as one is told; it means to be obedient. Obedient is willing to comply with the commands, orders or instructions of those in authority. GOD’s rules and commands should be obeyed by men. Peter and other Apostles told the Sadducees, we ought to obey GOD and not men. Many are obeying men’s rule and command and neglect GOD’s rule. GOD’s rule and command is superior, because He made man. Many fear men than GOD, when you fear GOD; you will have no one else to fear. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. Are you obeying GOD or men’s philosophy? Men’s rule and command at times is against GOD’s rule and command. We are to obey GOD and neglect men’s rule and philosophy. Many have been derailed and punished for disobeying GOD’s voice. Many don’t even recognize GOD’s voice when He speaks. Obeying GOD is expedient; because He knows all and sees all. Obeying GOD brings safety and blessings. Obeying GOD brings happiness and rest of mind. Obeying men’s rule and philosophy is vain and it fails. GOD appeared to Isaac not to go down into Egypt, but dwell in the land which He shall tell him of. He was like his father Abraham; he obeyed and dwelt in the land. And because of this, GOD blessed him and confirmed the oath He swore to his father Abraham; also because Abraham his father obeyed GOD’s voice and kept his commands and rules.
Genesis 26 vs. 3-6: Sojourn in this land and I will be with you, and will bless you; for to you, and to your seed, I will give all these countries and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments; my statutes and my law. And Isaac dwelt in Gerar. Many find it difficult nowadays to obey GOD’s voice, rule and command. It is pertinent to obey GOD. GOD told Moses, if the Israelites will obey his voice and keep his covenant, they will become a peculiar treasure to Him above all people on earth. There are personalities here on earth who are peculiar treasure to GOD above all people on earth, just because they obey his voice, rule and command. Exodus 19 vs. 5: Now therefore, if you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant then you shall be a peculiar treasure to me above all people; for all the earth is mine.

Furthermore, Saul feared men than GOD and disobeyed GOD’s voice. Obedience is better than sacrifice. GOD told him to utterly destroy the Amalekites and fight against them until they be consumed; but he destroyed the Amalekites and held unto their spoil. A spoil, spoils you. 1 Samuel 15 vs. 20 -22: And Saul said to Samuel, yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice to the LORD your GOD in Gilgal. And Samuel said, has the LORD has great delight in burned offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold to obey is better than sacrifices, and to hearken than the fat of rams. Vs. 23-24: For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatory. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD. He has also rejected you from being king. And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned. For I have transgressed the commandments of the LORD, and your words; because I feared the people and obeyed their voice. It pays to obey GOD’s rule, voice, rule and command. It is well with us….

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
