A PECULIAR TREASURE 2

A PECULIAR TREASURE 2
Proverbs 15 vs. 6: In the house of the righteous is much treasure; but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. A righteous man is GOD’s peculiar treasure. He is blessed beyond measures. Blessed is he when he goes out and comes in. A peculiar treasure is he who is wise. He follows after righteousness and mercy. He gets life and honor. Proverbs 22 vs. 20-21: There is a treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spends it up. He that follows after righteousness and mercy finds life, righteousness and honor. A peculiar treasure lays up for himself treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt and where thieves do not breakthrough nor steal. A peculiar treasure set affection on things above and not things of the world. Matthew 6 vs. 19-21: Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust does corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal.  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust does corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is there will your heart be also. Where are you laying your treasures?

GOD chose Jacob and Israel for His peculiar treasure. He was GOD’s favorites from his mother’s womb. GOD changed his name from Jacob to Israel; he was a nation and company of nations. Kings came out of his loins and he was given the land GOD gave Abraham and Isaac. Psalm 135 vs. 4: For the LORD has chosen Jacob to Himself and Israel for His peculiar treasure. Genesis 35 vs. 10-11: And GOD said unto him, thy name is Jacob; thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name; and he called his name Israel. And GOD said unto him, I am GOD Almighty; be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins. Job was also a peculiar treasure, because he fears GOD and hates evil. Job 1 vs. 1: There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared GOD and eschewed evil. David was also a peculiar treasure, though he commits sins; but reconciles with GOD. He honors and delights in GOD’s will. He seeks after dwelling in the house of the LORD and inquired in His temple. Psalm 27 vs. 4: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life to behold the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in His temple. We are all chosen to be GOD’s peculiar treasure, because we have been brought out of darkness into His marvelous light; but sin is a reproach. We have to come back and reconcile with GOD. We have to follow after righteousness and mercy, so we can have life in abundant and honor. I am a peculiar treasure, You are a peculiar treasure and We are peculiar treasures only if we fear GOD, obey his commandments and make righteousness our watch word. Are you blessed reading this write up? Kindly share with others… It is well with us.

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
