BE A PILLAR, NOT A CATERPILLAR!

BE A PILLAR, NOT A CATERPILLAR!
A pillar is a strong column made of stone, metal or wood which supports part of a building. A pillar supports and helps a building stand. As Christians we are to be a pillar. GOD our father is the pillar that holds our life, He supports us. 1 Peter 5 vs. 7: Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you. GOD cares for us all. A caterpillar is a small long animal with many legs, which feeds on the leaves of plants. Butterfly larvae are actually what we call caterpillar. When their egg hatches, the caterpillar will start its work and eat the leaf they were born unto. A caterpillar could also mean a vehicle fitted with caterpillar track. The caterpillar destroys and doesn’t support like the pillar. The devil is a caterpillar because his mission is to kill, steal and destroy. 1 Peter 5 vs. 8: Be sober; be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom they may devour. We have men that are supportive and caring; likewise we have men that destroy and seek for others downfall. Which are you? Rahab the harlot was a pillar; she supported and catered for the two men spy secretly sent out by Joshua to Jericho. Joshua 2 vs. 1: And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying; go view the land, even Jericho. And they went and came into a harlot’s house, named Rahab and lodged them. Vs. 3: And the King of Jericho sent unto Rahab saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, which are entered into thine house; for they be come to search out all the country. Vs. 4: And the woman took the two men, and hid them and said thus, there came men unto me, but I wist not where they were.
Jonathan Saul’s son was a pillar; he supported and shielded David despite his father’s devices against David that is what a pillar can do and will always do.
Moreover, Sanballat and Tobiah were caterpillars; they mocked Nehemiah for building the walls of Jerusalem. They were a mischief maker that is what a caterpillar does. Nehemiah 4 vs. 7-8: But it came to pass, that when Sanballat and Tobiah, and the Arabians, and the Ammorites, and the Ashdodites heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and that the breaches began to be stopped, then they were wroth. And conspired all of them together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to hinder it. Joseph’s brother conspired against him because of his dreams, and said we shall see what will become of his dreams. Are you a pillar or caterpillar? Some husbands are supportive while some are not; some wives are destructive while some are supportive. Husbands be supportive to your wife and family; wives be supportive to your husband and family. Be a Pillar by supporting and caring for someone today, don’t be a caterpillar that destroys and ruin others down. I am a PILLAR and Not a CATERpillar! It is well with us….

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
