WHAT REASON?

WHAT REASON?
This write up is a question to us all. What reason?
Reason is a motive for an action or determination. To every reason, there is a motive and action. GOD created us for a reason. He made us to worship Him and glorify Him. The bible says GOD is a spirit and they that worship Him, should worship Him in spirit and truth. GOD sent his son JESUS for a reason. He came to this world to die for all our sins. In Job 1 vs. 7: GOD said to satan, where have you been? satan answered the LORD, I have been wandering around on the earth. The devil wanders around on the earth for a reason; he wanders to steal, kill and destroy. vs. 8: Then the Lord said to satan, have you seen my servant Job? There is no person on earth like Job. Job is a good and faithful man. He worships GOD and refuses to do evil things. Vs. 9-10: satan answered and said, sure! But Job has a good reason for worshipping GOD. You always protect him, his family, and everything he has. You have made him successful in everything he does. Yes, you have blessed him. He is so wealthy that his herds and flocks are all over the country. The devil said, Job was faithful to GOD and worshipped him for a good reason. And he suggested if everything Job had were destroyed, he will curse GOD to his face. What reason! Many worship and serve GOD conditionally. We should serve and worship GOD unconditionally; because that is the reason he created us. Many are saved for these reasons; they accepted CHRIST for provision, miracles, supplication and protection. Such people serve GOD with their lips and eyes, but not their hearts. If you don’t serve GOD, you will surely serve the devil. Will you serve GOD, if all is well? Will you still serve him, if all is not? Will you serve GOD, when your soul is bitter? Will you serve him, when your soul is not? Will you serve GOD in your adversity? Will you still serve him, out of adversity? Will you serve GOD, when your joy turns into sorrow? Will you serve GOD, when your sorrow turns into joy? Will you serve GOD, when your sun set? Will you serve him, when your sun rises?
Job still serves GOD despite all he faced. Job 1 vs. 12: he said “when I was born into this world, I was naked and I had nothing. When I died and leave this world, I will be naked and will have nothing. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Praise the name of the Lord! What reason! A song writer Matt Redman wrote, bless the Lord oh my soul, oh my soul worship his holy name, sing like never before, oh my soul, I will worship your holy name. The song comes up; it is a new day dawn, it’s time to sing your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, let me be singing when the evening comes. There are many good reasons to serve GOD. The Psalmist says: I will bless the Lord at all times; his praises shall continually be in my mouth. Our motives toward GOD should be for eternity. We are to seek the Kingdom of GOD first and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto us. Job’s motive toward GOD was eternal, and GOD completely restored him. What are your motives towards GOD? It is well with us….

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
