THE ONLY STRENGTH

THE ONLY STRENGTH
We bless GOD for his faithfulness thus far in our lives. As this year gradually comes to an end and as we embark on the New Year, we need strength. When a man wants to climb a ladder, he needs strength; when he wants to descend from the ladder he also needs strength. Strength is the quality or degree of being strong. Strength is needed in all ramifications. The bible says for by strength shall no man prevail. Without strength we are weak and powerless. In battles, strength is needed; in challenges strength is needed, in trials and temptations strength is needed, in storms strength is needed to overcome. Strength is the opposite of weakness. Proverbs 23 vs. 10: If thou faint in the days of adversity, thy strength is small. You need strength to stand firm and strong in the days of adversity. When you have strength, your wisdom and knowledge increase. Proverbs 24 vs. 5: A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. Ecclesiastes 10 vs. 10 says: If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength; but wisdom is profitable to direct. Strength is needed. The only strength we need comes from GOD. The strength of men fails in the days of battle, challenges, tribulation, and adversity. Only GOD’s strength brings wisdom and increaseth knowledge. 2 Samuel 22 vs. 33-35: GOD is my strength and power; and He makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like hinds feet; and sets me upon my high places. He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. GOD’s strength keeps you going, no matter what people say around you. GOD’s strength keeps you going in the New Year. GOD’s strength keeps you going no matter the adversity, challenges, circumstances, battles because you will be more than a conqueror.
Isaiah 30 vs. 15: For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest shall you be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength; and you would not. The only strength we need is to trust in GOD. We have to come back to GOD believing him for his strength. Vs. 16: But ye said, No; for we will flee upon horses, therefore shall they that pursue you be swift. GOD’s strength is paramount, that is the only strength a man needs. Trusting in chariots and horses will fail you. Psalm 20 vs. 7-8: Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our GOD. They are brought down and fallen, but we are risen, and stand upright. Only those that trust in GOD are strengthened. Only those that trust in GOD stand upright. Isaiah 40 vs. 31: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint. We need to trust in GOD, so he can renew our strength as the year ends and as the New Year comes. Many will run and be weary, many will walk and faint. Only those that wait on GOD will he strengthen. Philippians 4 vs. 13: I can do all things through CHRIST which strengthens me. We need the only strength which comes from GOD, to do all things. It is well with us…..

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
