DON'T GO WITHOUT

DON’T GO WITHOUT!
This write up is having a cautious title. Don’t go without! As the New Year comes many have resolutions and determinations. It is a good thing to plan ahead of the New Year, but there are things we need to go with as we enter the New Year. If, you are to go without anything into the New Year, don’t go without GOD’s Presence. GOD’s Presence is very important. Moses knew the essence of GOD’s presence, when he was told to bring up the Israelites and didn’t know whom to go with. Exodus 33 vs. 13: Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, show me now thy way that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight; and consider that this nation is thy people. GOD replied him in vs. 14: And He said, my presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Moses replied in vs. 15: And he said unto him, if thy presence goes not with me, carry us not up hence. He knew the significance of GOD’s Presence. GOD’s Presence brings rest. GOD’s Presence brings his glory and honor. It brings strength and gladness. 1 Chronicles 16 vs. 27: Glory and honor are in his presence, strength and gladness are in his place. The bible says in His presence is fullness of joy. Don’t go without GOD’s presence. I once heard the story of three small fishes; they went to GOD and asked for his protection. The first fish told GOD to give it wings to fly out of the water into the air, anytime bigger fish want to swallow it. The second fish asked GOD to carry it from the water to the shore, anytime bigger fish want to swallow it. The third fish asked for GOD’s presence anytime bigger fish want to swallow it. GOD granted them their desires. The first fish had wings to fly into the air, when a bigger fish wanted to swallow it; but unfortunately a vulture saw the flying fish and captured it. The second fish was also carried to the shore, when a bigger fish wanted to attack it, but unfortunately a man saw it on the shore and killed it. The third fish that asked for GOD’s presence was preserved and protected, when a bigger fish wanted to swallow it. The bigger fish saw GOD’s presence and turned back. That is what GOD’s presence can do. The Red Sea that parted into two, saw GOD’s presence; that made it part into two. The Lions in the den saw GOD’s presence, that made Daniel untouched and unhurt. Don’t go without GOD’s Presence.

David knew the essence of GOD’s Presence. Psalm 51 vs. 11: Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. He also said in Psalm 139 vs. 7: Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence? We all need GOD’s presence as this year ends and as we enter into the New Year. GOD’s Presence can only be evident on the righteous and upright. Psalm 140 vs. 13: Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name; the upright shall dwell in thy presence. If you want GOD’s Presence to be evident on you and family, then you must live a righteous life and be upright. Jonah left the presence of GOD, by disobeying GOD, he was punished. Jonah 1 vs. 10: Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, why hast thou done this? For the men know that he fled from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them. Don’t go without GOD’s presence. 2 Chronicle 20 vs. 9: If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment or pestilence or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. Don’t go without GOD’s presence. It is well with us….

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
