BABY CHRISTIAN

BABY CHRISTIAN A baby is a very young child, he behaves like a young child and is easily upset. A baby Christian is one that don’t grow spiritually; he does not follow the lord, he does his own desires and neglect the things of GOD. Are you one? A baby Christian will always exhibit the characteristics of a new born baby, a new born baby is being fed with milk and so is a baby Christian. A new born baby has little understanding, likewise a baby Christian; he has low understanding of the things of GOD.A new born baby cannot take solid food, because he can’t digest ; likewise a baby Christian he can’t take solid things i.e the word of GOD, he can’t read and digest. A new born baby is not so strong; likewise a baby Christian he is very weak in the things of GOD, he is so feeble. Those are the characteristics of a baby Christian, I repeat are you one? Also, a baby Christian is ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of truth; he is always confused; he doubts; doesn’t grow spiritually. He is still been forced to come to church and serve GOD. He see things in his own way, and not the way of GOD, he acts as though he belongs to himself and not GOD. He claims to be a Christian, but can’t watch, fast and pray. Those are the traits of a baby Christian. However, in 1 Corithians 3 vs 1-5 Paul condemned the division and quarreling in the church; they were jealous of one another arguing and quarreling who was greater between Apollos and he Paul; he told them this shows how little they have grown in the lord. He said they were acting as though they don’t belong to GOD. He said they are not healthy Christians, but baby Christians. Healthy Christians are filled with the spirit and understands the things of the spirit; but a baby Christian is not filled with the spirit and understands not the things of the spirit. A healthy Christian grows in the lord and wax stronger and stronger; while a baby Christian does not grow in the lord, he wax weaker and weaker. Finally, Paul said stop fooling yourselves; if you count yourself average in intelligence, as judged by this world’s standard, you had better put this all aside and be a fool rather than let it hold you back from wisdom from above. A healthy Christian seeks for wisdom that comes above, while a baby Christian seeks for worldly wisdom. Are you a baby Christian or a healthy one?

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
