ENCOURAGE OTHERS

ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO encourage is to help someone to feel confident and be able to do something. It is also to advice someone to do something positive. It can also be likened to supporting someone on an activity. Discouragement is the opposite of encouragement, when one is discouraged he loses confident. David encouraged himself first in the lord, before encouraging his men; he instilled confidence into them and he and his men pursed, overtook, and recovered back all the Amalekites had stolen. When you encourage others, you help them regain their momentum and strength. However, Joshua in Deuteronomy 3 vs 28 was encouraged by Moses, GOD told Moses to encourage him and he was able to lead the Israelites to the promise land, encouraging others makes them do what they believe they can’t do. Joshua at first will be discouraged, imagining himself stepping into Moses’s shoe; but he was encouraged by Moses and did what was required of him to do. Many are waiting to be encouraged, so they can find their feet back; but when there is no one to encourage them, they remain discouraged. Furthermore, as children of GOD we are to encourage the unsaved and those who have missed the way of salvation, to come back to the way. You can support them in prayers during your devotion or talking one on one with them; and you can also encourage the less- privileged by giving to them. A lot of Christians are out of the way, they need to be encouraged so they can come back to the light of salvation. Apostle Paul told the people of Rome he needed their help, for not only to share his faith with them; but to be encouraged by their faith too. When you encourage others you serve as a source of blessing to them. It is like you are blessing them; and GOD will surely reward you too. ENCOURAGE SOMEONE TODAY, TO FIND HIS FEET BACK AND BE CONFIDENT……

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...

TOLERANCE

TOLERANCE I start quoting Robert Green Ingersoll “Tolerance is giving every other human being every right that you claim for yourself ”. This is a virtue every man scarcely has nowadays. Men nowadays find it difficult to tolerate each other. In all religions, Christians are to exhibit tolerance the most; because CHRIST stated that it’s the second greatest commandment. Matthew 22 vs.38-39: This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. But the reverse is the case now, most Christians exhibit intolerance. They can’t tolerate their Christian brothers talk less of those outside their religion. This is awful and not so good. Hebrews 13 vs. 1-2: Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unaware. Abraham exhibited tolerance, he suddenly noticed three men coming toward him and ran to meet them and welcomed them. He gave them water to wash their feet’s...

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES 2! An earthly father will be delighted and willing to do more for his son or daughter, when she/he shows gratitude. How will you feel when you give something tangible to a person and he didn’t show gratitude? You will feel unwilling to do more for such person. Our heavenly Father deserves to be shown gratitude for all He has done in our lives. Thank GOD for what He has done in the past, what He is doing presently and what He will do in the future. There is no little testimony; you just have to appreciate GOD for his faithfulness and marvelous deeds. Marvelous deeds like, the gift of life, which is the greatest of all blessings, good health and sound mind, sleeping and waking up. Many slept and never woke up, while many find it difficult to sleep. We have to see reasons to appreciate GOD; doing these will gladden Him to do more for us.              However, problems, trials, challenges might be in...
