PROFITABLE TO DIRECT 3

PROFITABLE TO DIRECT 3
This trend of wisdom continues in this write up. Wisdom is the ability to apply relevant knowledge is an insightful way. It is the ability to know and apply it. Wisdom is profitable. Wisdom is worth having. Wisdom is paramount. Wisdom is indispensable. Wisdom is requisite. James 1 vs.5: If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of GOD that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. GOD is always ready to give men bountifully supply of wisdom, provided it’s for a good reason; he won’t resent from giving it out.  Some ask GOD for wisdom just to intimidate others. Asking GOD for wisdom must be for a good reason. To have wisdom is to apply knowledge; to obtain knowledge is by studying GOD’s word and wisdom by meditating upon that knowledge. Joshua 1 vs. 8: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy ways prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Meditating and observing all that is written in the bible brings wisdom. GOD’s wisdom will be evident on such life. No wonder the Psalmist said in Psalm 119 vs. 96-100: Nothing is perfect except your words. Oh, how I love them. I think about them all day long. They make me wiser than my enemies because they are my constant guide. Yes, wiser than my teachers, for I am ever thinking of your rules. They make even me wiser than the aged. That is wisdom!

Daniel one of the Jewish captive in Babylon made up his mind not to eat the food and wine given to them by the king. He suggested he, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah be served on only vegetables and water; which the steward agreed. That is GOD’s wisdom, men’s wisdom would have taken the kings wine and meat; but they choose not to defile themselves with the king’s meat and wine. With the vegetables and water they were healthier, better nourished than the other youths who had been eating the food supplied by the king. No wonder they were ten times better than all in the king’s realm. Daniel 1 vs. 17: As for these four children, GOD gave the knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Daniel, Mishael, Azariah and Hananiah never turned from what GOD’s word said, they hated false way. Psalm 119 vs. 104: And since only your rules can give me wisdom and understanding, no wonder I hate every false teaching. Let’s apply GOD’s words in all we do and never turn from it. It continues tomorrow. It is well with us…

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
