DEVICES OF THE CRAFTY

DEVICES OF THE CRAFTY
The crafty is skillful at deceiving others, he is characterized by craft, cunning and wily. The crafty devise means to bring men down. The crafty devise means to kill, steal and destroy men. The crafty tempts, but can be resisted only if we are on GOD’s side and submit ourselves to GOD.  James 4 vs. 7: Submit yourselves therefore to GOD. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Submission to GOD helps GOD disappoint the devices of the crafty. The devil and his agents are the crafty. Total submission to GOD helps us disappoint them. JESUS CHRIST, after fasting for forty days and forty nights was tempted by the crafty. Matthew 4 vs. 2: And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward a hungered. Vs. 3: And when the tempter came to him, he said, if thy be the son of GOD, command that these stones be made bread. Vs. 4: But he answered and said, it is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD. Vs. 5: Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple; Vs. 6: And saith unto him, if thou be the son of GOD, cast thyself down; for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee; and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. Vs. 7: JESUS said unto him, it is written again, thou shalt not tempt the LORD thy GOD. Vs. 10: Then saith JESUS unto him, Get thee hence, satan for it is written, Thou shalt worship the LORD thy GOD, and him only shalt thou serve.

The devil in his craftiness tried all possible means, tempting JESUS; but He submitting to GOD his father made him resists him and he fled. The crafty tempted Eve and she fell for it; we shouldn’t be ignorant of the devices of the crafty. 2 Corinthians 2 vs. 11: Lest Satan should get an advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. Job 5 vs. 12: He disappointed the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot perform their enterprise. The crafty will always devise means, he will surely have an enterprise, but total submission to GOD will disappoint the crafty’s devices and his hands won’t be able to perform his enterprise. It is well with us..

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...
