WHY TURN AWAY FROM GOD?

WHY TURN AWAY FROM GOD?
This is a big question before us today. Many strong Christians have turned away from GOD. Many know the truth and yet doeth it not. Many have other gods they worship and still come to worship GOD. You cannot serve two masters; you cannot serve GOD and also serve mammon. Many serve GOD when all things are blossoming and flourishing; but when things are not going well for them, they turn  away from GOD into something else. Many seek GOD’s face day and night when in a circumstances, but after overcoming the circumstances they turn away from seeking GOD. Why turn away from GOD? As a righteous man, you have battles to fight, as an unrighteous man you got battles to fight; but the Psalmist says “many are the affliction of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all; he kept his bones and not one is broken”. Why turn away from GOD? When He still remains the same. He is the same today, yesterday and forever. GOD of the good time is still the GOD of the bad times. Whether you are in a difficult situation or not GOD still remains GOD. He doesn’t change from been GOD. Why turn away from GOD? Roman 8 vs. 35 says”who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword?

Furthermore, many accept Christ into their lives and think they won’t face tribulations, trials and challenges. He said “In this world, you shall face tribulations and trials, but be of good cheers; I have overcome the world”. He JESUS overcame the world for us, he has given us dominion over all circumstances come what may. Job faced trials, tribulations and challenges; he never turned away from GOD. JESUS himself while on earth faced trials; He never turned away from GOD. Expect tribulations, trials and challenges as far as you are on this earth, but never turn from GOD; because Roman 8 vs 37 says: “ Nay in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Paul said he is persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD, which is Christ JESUS our Lord. Why turn away from GOD?

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
