COVENANT KEEPING GOD

COVENANT KEEPING GOD
A covenant is an agreement to do or not do a particular thing. It is also a promise to a contract. A covenant could also be a bin ding agreement between two or more parties. When you make a covenant between two or more parties, you have a binding agreement. A covenant could be broken between two parties. Men break covenant; but GOD does not. When couples get married they are tied together, covenanted to each other. They agree to become one. In future, if they both disagree, the covenant between them is broken; the contract between them is terminated. A man could lie loving a lady, but afterwards jilt her; just deceiving her at first. He could have promised her, I will get married to you, but he can rescind his decision at any time; men do that a lot. Most men are covenant breakers, bur GOD is a covenant keeper. No wonder the bible says: “And also the strength of Israel will not lie nor repent”. GOD is the strength of Israel; he brought them from Egypt into their promise land as promised. What he says he does, what he GOD does he has said it. GOD values covenant, he is not a covenant breaker. The Israelites were on several occasions guilty of breaking the covenant between them and GOD. Judges 2 vs. 1: “ And an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I swore unto your fathers and I said, I will never break my covenant with you”. Eventually the Israelites disobeyed GOD’s voice by making league with people they shouldn’t and did not destroy altars they should have. There was a covenant between GOD and the Israelites, GOD kept his part; but the Israelites didn’t. Our GOD never breaks his promise, that is why he honors his word than his name.
However, while I started my first degree in the University, I made a covenant with GOD that I will serve him with all my heart, throughout my stay in the university and not defile myself; and in exchange I want him GOD to make me graduate with a good grade. I was faithful in my part and He GOD was too; I finally made a good grade at the end. It is a god thing to make a covenant with GOD, because you are telling him He is more than able to help you. Covenant with GOD brings blessings, greatness, possessions, inheritance, favor provided you are faithful. Are you in a circumstances you think is greater than you? Why not make a covenant with the covenant keeping GOD. He is able to do exceedingly; abundantly above all we could ever ask or think of, according to the power that worketh in us. It is well with us….

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...

TOLERANCE

TOLERANCE I start quoting Robert Green Ingersoll “Tolerance is giving every other human being every right that you claim for yourself ”. This is a virtue every man scarcely has nowadays. Men nowadays find it difficult to tolerate each other. In all religions, Christians are to exhibit tolerance the most; because CHRIST stated that it’s the second greatest commandment. Matthew 22 vs.38-39: This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. But the reverse is the case now, most Christians exhibit intolerance. They can’t tolerate their Christian brothers talk less of those outside their religion. This is awful and not so good. Hebrews 13 vs. 1-2: Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unaware. Abraham exhibited tolerance, he suddenly noticed three men coming toward him and ran to meet them and welcomed them. He gave them water to wash their feet’s...

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES 2! An earthly father will be delighted and willing to do more for his son or daughter, when she/he shows gratitude. How will you feel when you give something tangible to a person and he didn’t show gratitude? You will feel unwilling to do more for such person. Our heavenly Father deserves to be shown gratitude for all He has done in our lives. Thank GOD for what He has done in the past, what He is doing presently and what He will do in the future. There is no little testimony; you just have to appreciate GOD for his faithfulness and marvelous deeds. Marvelous deeds like, the gift of life, which is the greatest of all blessings, good health and sound mind, sleeping and waking up. Many slept and never woke up, while many find it difficult to sleep. We have to see reasons to appreciate GOD; doing these will gladden Him to do more for us.              However, problems, trials, challenges might be in...
