THE DAYS OF ADVERSITY 2

THE DAYS OF ADVERSITY 2
This trend of write up continues from where it stopped. Joyce Meyer wrote “The eagle has no fear of adversity; we need to be like the eagle and have fearless spirit of a conqueror”. The Eagle is a distinct bird with various characteristics. Let’s consider some, The Eagle has vision; whenever an eagle sits high above the tree or cliff of a stiff mountain, it’s attentive. Its body sits still and the head will be tilted side to side to observe what is happening below, around and above it. Eagles have a keen vision. Their eyes are specially designed for long distance focus and clarity. Clarity and being focused on GOD brings one out of adversity. Job was focused in days of his adversity. Despite all that befell him, he never for once lost focus on GOD. His wife told him “Do you still retain your integrity? Curse GOD and die.” He didn’t sin with his lips, even while his friends scorned him and forgot him, he still focused on GOD. Job 16 vs. 20: My friends scorn me, but mine eye poureth out tears unto GOD. Job 19 vs. 14: My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me. Yet he still prayed for them. He was focused on GOD, no wonder he said in Job 19 vs. 25: For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. Also, in Job 42 vs. 2: I know that you can do everything and that no thought can be withheld from you. Are you in challenges or adversity? Be focused on GOD, for Only Him is Able to make you come out victorious.

Moreover, another characteristic of an Eagle is that it is fearless. An eagle will never surrender to the size or strength of its prey. It will always give a fight to win its prey or regain its territory. Another characteristic of an eagle is that it is tenacious. Tenacious means; unwilling to yield or give up. It means doggedness. Whenever storm comes, other birds fly away from the storm with fear; an eagle spreads its mighty wings and uses the current to soar to greater heights. The eagle takes advantage of the very storm that lesser birds fear and head for cover. The days of adversity are inevitable. There are storms we will face, there are challenges we will face; there are difficulties we will face; only those who wait on GOD, shall he renew their strength. Only these people will mount up with wings as eagles, only these people will run and not be weary; and walk and not faint. Being focused on GOD, Being fearless and Being tenacious can make a man come out victorious in the days of Adversity. If this write up has blessed you, kindly share with others. It is well with us…. WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...

TOLERANCE

TOLERANCE I start quoting Robert Green Ingersoll “Tolerance is giving every other human being every right that you claim for yourself ”. This is a virtue every man scarcely has nowadays. Men nowadays find it difficult to tolerate each other. In all religions, Christians are to exhibit tolerance the most; because CHRIST stated that it’s the second greatest commandment. Matthew 22 vs.38-39: This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. But the reverse is the case now, most Christians exhibit intolerance. They can’t tolerate their Christian brothers talk less of those outside their religion. This is awful and not so good. Hebrews 13 vs. 1-2: Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unaware. Abraham exhibited tolerance, he suddenly noticed three men coming toward him and ran to meet them and welcomed them. He gave them water to wash their feet’s...

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES 2! An earthly father will be delighted and willing to do more for his son or daughter, when she/he shows gratitude. How will you feel when you give something tangible to a person and he didn’t show gratitude? You will feel unwilling to do more for such person. Our heavenly Father deserves to be shown gratitude for all He has done in our lives. Thank GOD for what He has done in the past, what He is doing presently and what He will do in the future. There is no little testimony; you just have to appreciate GOD for his faithfulness and marvelous deeds. Marvelous deeds like, the gift of life, which is the greatest of all blessings, good health and sound mind, sleeping and waking up. Many slept and never woke up, while many find it difficult to sleep. We have to see reasons to appreciate GOD; doing these will gladden Him to do more for us.              However, problems, trials, challenges might be in...
