THE DAYS OF ADVERSITY 2

THE DAYS OF ADVERSITY 2
This trend of write up continues from where it stopped. Joyce Meyer wrote “The eagle has no fear of adversity; we need to be like the eagle and have fearless spirit of a conqueror”. The Eagle is a distinct bird with various characteristics. Let’s consider some, The Eagle has vision; whenever an eagle sits high above the tree or cliff of a stiff mountain, it’s attentive. Its body sits still and the head will be tilted side to side to observe what is happening below, around and above it. Eagles have a keen vision. Their eyes are specially designed for long distance focus and clarity. Clarity and being focused on GOD brings one out of adversity. Job was focused in days of his adversity. Despite all that befell him, he never for once lost focus on GOD. His wife told him “Do you still retain your integrity? Curse GOD and die.” He didn’t sin with his lips, even while his friends scorned him and forgot him, he still focused on GOD. Job 16 vs. 20: My friends scorn me, but mine eye poureth out tears unto GOD. Job 19 vs. 14: My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me. Yet he still prayed for them. He was focused on GOD, no wonder he said in Job 19 vs. 25: For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. Also, in Job 42 vs. 2: I know that you can do everything and that no thought can be withheld from you. Are you in challenges or adversity? Be focused on GOD, for Only Him is Able to make you come out victorious.

Moreover, another characteristic of an Eagle is that it is fearless. An eagle will never surrender to the size or strength of its prey. It will always give a fight to win its prey or regain its territory. Another characteristic of an eagle is that it is tenacious. Tenacious means; unwilling to yield or give up. It means doggedness. Whenever storm comes, other birds fly away from the storm with fear; an eagle spreads its mighty wings and uses the current to soar to greater heights. The eagle takes advantage of the very storm that lesser birds fear and head for cover. The days of adversity are inevitable. There are storms we will face, there are challenges we will face; there are difficulties we will face; only those who wait on GOD, shall he renew their strength. Only these people will mount up with wings as eagles, only these people will run and not be weary; and walk and not faint. Being focused on GOD, Being fearless and Being tenacious can make a man come out victorious in the days of Adversity. If this write up has blessed you, kindly share with others. It is well with us…. RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
