MY PORTION

MY PORTION
The Psalmist said in Psalm 24 vs. 1: The earth is the LORD’s and his fullness thereof, the world and those that dwell therein. GOD created the heaven and the earth. He owns the universe. He controls all things in the universe. Genesis 1 vs. 26: And GOD said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. GOD made man to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over all living thing upon the earth. Genesis 1 vs. 28: And GOD blessed them, and GOD said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Portion is one’s lot. It is an inheritance. It is that which a person is entitled to inherit. Many are ignorant of the fact, they are to possess the earth, rule and dominate. As a child of GOD, anywhere the sole of your feet steps, you are to possess it. The Israelites possessed land which their feet stepped, because GOD was with them; and because He promised their father’s Abraham, Isaac and Israel. Deuteronomy 32 vs.9 (AMP): For the LORD’s portion is his people; Jacob (Israel) is the lot of his inheritance. Vs 10 (AMP): He found him in a desert land, in the howling void of the wilderness; He kept circling around him, He scanned him, He kept him as the pupil of His eye. Vs. 11(AMP): As an eagle that stir up her nest, that flutters over her young, He spread abroad His wings and He took them, He bore them on His pinions. Vs.12 (AMP): So the LORD alone led him, there was no foreign god with him. Vs. 13 (AMP): He made Israel ride on the high places of the earth, and he ate the increase of the field; and He made him suck honey out of the rock and oil out of the flinty rock.

Israel enjoyed all these, because he made GOD is portion. He had no foreign gods. He had no idol. GOD was his portion. When you make GOD your portion, you possess all. GOD owns the universe; He remains the same and changes not. There are inheritances set aside for only those that make GOD their portion.  Psalm 16 vs. 5: The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup; thou maintains my lot. David made GOD is portion. He choose GOD and GOD held him and maintained his lot for him. No wonder he said in Vs.6: The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places, yea, I have a goodly heritage. When you make GOD your portion, the lines fall unto you in pleasant place. Things will go smoothly for you. What is your portion? What have you chosen over GOD? Its time you re-think and make GOD your portion. Your flesh and desires will fail; why not make the LORD your portion. Psalm 73 vs. 26: My flesh and my heart fails; but GOD is the strength of my heart, and my portion forever. As for me, GOD is my portion forevermore. What about you? It is well with us……

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
