MY PORTION 3

MY PORTION 3
Lamentation 3 vs. 24 (AMP): The LORD is my portion or share, says my living being (my inner self); therefore will I hope in HIM and wait expectantly for HIM. Only few wait on GOD. It takes a determined minded man to wait on GOD. Waiting on GOD is the best. Isaiah 40 vs.31: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint. Many a time, we see waiting on GOD as delay and denial. GOD’s time is always the best, for He knows all things. We need renewal of strength to wait on GOD. Psalm 27 vs. 14: Wait on the LORD; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say on the LORD. Since we profess GOD to be our portion, we must hope and wait expectantly for HIM. Hope in GOD is not ashamed; those that wait on GOD laugh last. An adage said he who laughs last, laughs best. Lamentation 3 vs. 25 (AMP): The LORD is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for HIM, to those who seek HIM (inquire of and for HIM and require HIM by right of necessity and on the authority of GOD’s word). David inquired of HIM, for HIM and required HIM by right of necessity and on the authority of GOD’s word, because GOD was is portion. He said in Psalm 27 vs.4: One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. No wonder GOD was good to him, no wonder in time of trouble he was hidden in his pavilion in the secret of his tabernacle, no wonder he was set up upon a rock.  No wonder his head was lifted up above his enemies round about him.
There is power and authority in GOD’s word. His words are sharper than any two edged sword. His words never return to him void. His words accomplish that which He pleases. His words never fade, it stands forever. We have GOD’s word to proclaim; study and meditate. Joshua 1 vs. 8: This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt mediate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. We have promises and portion in GOD’s word; let us study, meditate and proclaim them. Let’s do what is written therein. It is well with us…

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...
