WORK ON THE WORD 3!

WORK ON THE WORD 3!
R. Kelso Carter wrote these hymn lyrics;
Standing on the promises that cannot fail
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail
By the living word of GOD I shall prevail
Standing on the promises of GOD
Standing on the promises of CHRIST the LORD
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord
Overcoming daily with the spirit’s sword
Standing on the promises of GOD.
GOD’s promises are in his words. The bible says He honors his words more than his name. Isaiah 55 vs. 11: So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth; it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. A man’s promises fail, but GOD’s promises never fail. Isaiah 40 vs. 8: The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our GOD shall stand forever. We are to stand on GOD’s promises which can be found in his word. When in difficulty or facing any challenges GOD’s promises are there in his word to make us overcome; we are to stand on them. When in challenges standing on words like For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. The LORD is my light and my salvation, who shall I fear. But you O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter up of my head. There is no wisdom nor counsel, nor understanding against the LORD. I know that you can do everything and that no thought can be withheld from you. I shall decree a thing, and it shall be established to me; and the light shall shine upon my ways. When men are cast down, then I shall say; There is lifting up, and He shall save the humble person. Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why are you disquieted in me? hope you in GOD; for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. These are just few promises from GOD’s word, work on the word by standing on them in faith when faced by challenges and difficulties. Only by his word can we prevail. Only by standing on his word in faith can we overcome.
                      2 Corinthians 1 vs. 20: For all the promises of GOD in Him are Yea, and in Him Amen, to the glory of GOD by us. GOD is the FAITHFUL WHO HAD PROMISED, His promises are faithful and fails not. His promises in JESUS were fulfilled. Paul said to quench the fiery darts of the wicked and overcome storms, trials, difficulties, problems; we must take the shield of faith, take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of GOD. Ephesians 6 vs. 16-17: Above all, taking the shield of faith, where with you shall be able to quench all fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of GOD. Standing on GOD’s promises is having faith in his word. Faith without work is dead and it is impossible to please GOD without faith. Work on the word by standing in faith in the word. Kindly, share with others. It is well with us….

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
