STANDING ON THE PROMISES

STANDING ON THE PROMISES
A promise is an affirmation. A reason to expect success. A hymn lyric says: Standing on the promises that cannot fail, when the howling storms of doubt and fear assail, by the living word of GOD I shall prevail; standing on the promises of GOD. There are promises and there are promises. Many a times promises from men fail, but promises from GOD never fail. GOD never fails; Numbers 23 vs.19: GOD is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent; hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good? Standing on the promises of men is trusting in the arm of flesh. Standing on the promises of GOD fails and fades not, it stands forever. The arm of flesh fails. Jeremiah 17 vs. 5: Thus saith the LORD; cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart depart from the LORD. Vs. 6: For he shall be like the heath in the desert and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Vs. 7: Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. Vs 8: For he shall be as tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. GOD honors his words than his name; his words are his promises for us. They are affirmation for us, and application of these words with our belief works for us. Standing on GOD’s word is not sinking sand, it is a solid rock; standing on men’s promises is sinking sand. Job stood on GOD’s word; this helped him come out of his circumstances. Job 19 vs. 25: For I know that my Redeemer liveth and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth. Job 42 vs. 2: I know that thou canst do everything, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. Are you in a storm? Do you still doubt GOD’s promises? Are you still paranoid about GOD’s promises? Are you in difficult circumstances? Are you scared of tomorrow? All you have to do is to stand on GOD’s promises, believing it will come to pass.
2 Corinthians 1 vs. 20: For all the promises of GOD in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of GOD by us. Every word in GOD’s word is yea and Amen. We just have to key into them because; they will surely come to pass. Stand on GOD’s promises and belief, it will work for you. It is well with us…..

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
