FEAR NOT

FEAR NOT
Fear is a strong, uncontrollable, unpleasant emotion caused by actual or perceived danger or threat. As children of the Most High we shouldn’t fear. David said in Psalm 27 vs.1: The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? GOD’s strength is enough for us; we are to fear nothing. Many a time, situation and circumstances around us, bring fear to us. Many are scared and afraid of tomorrow. Many are afraid of confronting their problems. Many are afraid of the unknown. We shouldn’t be afraid, we shouldn’t fear; but rather praise GOD for we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139 vs.14: I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. GOD didn’t give us the spirit of fear, but of power; and of love, and of sound mind. David was assured of this sound mind, he knew of a surety GOD was his light and salvation. No wonder he asked, whom shall I fear? Whom shall I be afraid? Fear demoralize, GOD hasn’t given us that spirit. He instead gave us power, love and sound mind. The disciples were afraid when a great storm of wind and waves beat into their ship. They woke up their Master JESUS, from his sleep. He arose and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, peace be still. And immediately there was a great calm. Mark 4 vs. 39: And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. Vs. 40: And he said unto them, why are ye so fearful? How is it that ye have no faith? GOD expects us in challenges, difficulties, adversity, and storms to arise and rebuke them by faith, so there can be calmness. When in difficulties, challenges, and storms you are not to be afraid, rather believe of a surety it will pass away. The Psalmist says sorrow may last by night, but joy cometh in the morning. Isaiah 41 vs. 10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee, be not dismayed; for I am thy GOD. I will strengthen, yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. GOD never leaves nor forsake His own; He is always there for them, come what may. He helps, strengthens and upholds them. Are you scared or afraid? Are you dismayed? Believe in GOD, for He is enough for you. It is well with us…

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...
