DO YOU WANT LONG, GOOD LIFE?

DO YOU WANT A LONG, GOOD LIFE?
James 1 vs. 17: (NIV): Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of heavenly light who does not change like shifting shadow. GOD is the giver of life. He is the Creator and we are his creations. Long life and Good life is a good thing. This is also one of GOD’s promises for our lives. Psalm 91 vs. 16: With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation. Also we have another promise in Isaiah 65 vs. 21-22: And they shall build houses and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for as the days of a tree are the days of my people and my elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. As children of GOD we are to stand on these promises and many more in the word of GOD. The days of a tree is long and not short. The elect are children of GOD, they build houses and inhabit them; no one else inhabits it, they plant and eat the fruit of them; they don’t plant for others to eat.

Furthermore, if you want a long, good life the first thing you must do is watch your tongue. The tongue looks small but it’s powerful. No wonder, Proverbs 18 vs. 21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. What you say with your tongue, will create what you will see. A man must be conscious of how he uses his tongue. Proverbs 21 vs. 23: Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. When you confess with your tongue and mouth long life, good health, sound mind and other good things so shall it be. Job 22 vs. 28: You shall also decree a thing and it shall be established to you; and the light shall shine upon your ways. But many say negative things with their tongues which shouldn’t be. As children of GOD we have authority to decree a thing with our mouth and tongue and it shall surely come to pass. Proverbs 15 vs. 4: A wholesome tongue is a tree of life; but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. The bible also describes the tongue just like the small rudder of a ship turns it to wherever the captain wants it to go, so does the tongue controls one life. James 3 vs. 5-6: Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. Behold how great a matter a little fire kindles. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity; so is the tongue among our members that defiles the whole body and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. Do you want a long, good life? Then watch your tongue. I shall continue from here tomorrow. Have you been blessed by this write-up? Kindly, share with others. It is well with us!!!

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
