BENEFITS OF DISCIPLINE

BENEFITS OF DISCIPLINE
Discipline is a controlled behavior. It means self-control. It is a systematic method of obtaining obedience. It is a state of order based on submission to authority. To live a victory life on earth, we must be disciplined. Discipline is ever learning and comes to the knowledge of the truth. Discipline is godliness. Discipline is contentment. Discipline is brokenness. Discipline is a great gain. Being discipline in some areas in the sight of men looks foolish, but in GOD’s sight it is wisdom and it’s profitable. Show me a discipline man and I will tell you he is full of wisdom and knowledge. Show me an indiscipline man and I will tell you he lacks wisdom and knowledge. Ecclesiastes 10 vs. 10: If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength; but wisdom is profitable to direct. Discipline is profitable to direct. Men that exhibited discipline in the bible were men of wisdom and understanding.

Our GOD is self-control; He expects us to be self-controlled in all our deeds. Self-control is one of the fruit of the Spirit. Galatians 5 vs. 22-23 (NIV): But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. A man of the Spirit will have self-control. A man of the flesh will lack self-control. A man of the Spirit will be subjected to the Spirit. A man of the flesh will be subjected to the flesh. Romans 8 vs. 5: For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. Vs. 6: For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Men of the Spirit have life and peace; because he is spiritually minded. A man of the flesh is dead, because he is carnally minded. Galatians 5 vs. 16: This I say that walk in the Spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Start this new week asking GOD for the grace to be disciplined in all your deeds and He shall grant thee. Kindly, share with others. It is well with us!!!

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES

WHEN YOUR SAMUEL COMES Hannah made a vowed which GOD honors and remembered her.   1 Samuel 1 vs. 19-20: And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD and returned and came to their house to Ramah; and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her. Wherefore it came to pass when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying because I have asked him of the LORD.      What a wonderful GOD! She asked for a man child and He gave her exactly. She should have asked for sets of twin or triplet, which GOD would have given her. There is nothing GOD cannot do, He cannot be limited. With Him all things are possible. Mind you Hannah fulfilled her vow by giving the son back to him. Many make vows and don’t fulfill it. Be conscious of these, GOD’s way are not the ways of men, His thoughts are not ours. GOD has his own timing. His timing doesn’t match with the timing of ...
