WATCH OUT

                          WATCH OUT
Genesis 4 vs 6: Why are you angry? The lord asked him. Why is your face so dark with rage? This is GOD questioning Cain, this write up is titled Watch out. What should we watch out? Why should we watch out? These we shall know, vs. 7: It can be bright with joy if you will do what you should. But if you refuse to obey, watch out. Sin is waiting to attack you, longing to destroy you; but you can conquer it. Adam and Eve gave birth to Cain and the next child Abel. Abel became a shepherd, while Cain was a farmer. Cain brought the lord a gift of his farm produce and Abel brought the fatty cuts of meat from his best lambs and they offered it to the lord. Most of us today are like Cain, we just offer and give to GOD as we ought, to fulfill all righteousness. What we are offering is not coming from our hearts. We don’t give cheerfully, Cain offered gift from his farm produce to GOD, but not the best of his farm produce. Our GOD deserves the best! Peradventure, you want to give anything to GOD give him the best of the best, let it come from the bottom of your heart. Many instances today, Christians give currency as offering, while they keep the clean notes for special events. It is wrong!
However, Abel Cain’s brother gave GOD the best of his lambs and not only the best, but fatty cuts of meat. Abel gave from his heart; Cain might have given out quantity from his farm produce, but not quality from his farm produce. We believers of nowadays have to watch out on that, no wonder GOD accepted Abel’s offering and rejected Cain’s. Our GOD is a sovereign GOD, he deserve the best. Cain was angry when his offering was rejected and GOD questioned him why is your face so dark with rage? Cain was angry and vexed, with no admittance of what he has done. He didn’t acknowledge GOD, and refuse to admit he was wrong. He should have admitted for his wrong doings and obeyed GOD; but instead he refused; vs. 7 emphasize: It can be bright with joy if you will do what you should. Many believers are like this, they are ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of truth. GOD loves all, though he has favorite; but he created all. He loves Cain and equally loved Abel, but Cain failed to do the right thing, his face would have been bright if he had admitted of his wrongs and re- offered the best of his farm produce. Are you like Cain today? Blaming GOD for your circumstance, you don’t need to, just admit your wrongs and ask for his forgiveness. Come back to the knowledge of the truth and all shall be well with you again…..

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
