WATCH OUT 2

                                    WATCH OUT 2
Everyone needs to watch out. Nobody is excluded; JESUS knew we need to watch out, that is why he said watch and pray, so you won’t fall into temptation. Temptation will surely come, whether you like it or not. Jesus himself was tempted while on earth, so who are we not to be tempted. Expect temptation, because they will surely come. We just need to watch out and pray so we don’t fall into them. By watching we need to take cognizance of all works of flesh, things that exalt itself against GOD in our life. And by praying we need to pray against the author of temptation, the tempter itself the devil. The bible says resist the devil and he shall flee. Jesus resisted him, get thee behind me devil, we need to do likewise to overcome temptation.
Furthermore, Cain didn’t know all these, he allowed his weakness to wax stronger, he wasn’t able to overcome temptation, rather he was conquered by it. Temptation waited for him, he refused to watch out, he refused to obey, he refused to pray against it. He was conquered by it and afterwards regretted. Show me a man that prays and watch out against temptation and I will tell you he will overcome temptation.
Genesis 4 vs. 8: one day Cain suggested to his brother, let’s go out into the fields and while they were together there, Cain attacked and killed his brother. His weakness(anger) was strengthen and he was conquered by temptation killing his brother. What a tragedy! GOD knows all, he knew Cain will be tempted to do such, that was why the warning came in vs. 7: It can be bright with joy, if you will do what you should. Have you being conquered by temptation? Have you allowed your weakness to overpower you? You need to go down on your kneels and ask GOD for his mercy, rend your hearts and not your garment. GOD is a merciful GOD, he might still show mercy; but know you can’t miss  the punishment. There is always punishment for wrong doings, obedience is better than sacrifice. Cain was banished  from his ground, because he defiled the ground with his brother’s blood. No longer did it yield crops for him, even if he toils on I t forever. Hmm! GOD of misery

Beloved, let watch out, so we don’t fall into temptation. it is well with us……

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
