WHAT IS CONSCIENCE?

                 WHAT IS CONSCIENCE?
Greetings to all in the name of our heavenly father GOD. I write on this platform today on what conscience is? Everybody has a conscience, some might not know they do have a conscience. From the English meaning conscience is the part of you that judges how moral your own actions are and makes you feel guilty about bad things that you have done or things you feel responsible for. Everyone has a conscience, whether good or bad. we have a good conscience and we also have bad conscience. GOD speaks to us at times through conscience, the conscience bears witness. Maybe at a point in your life, you were at critical point of making a crucial decision, GOD could speak to you through conscience, that is when you hear positive things while negative  just as you are in between the devil and deep blue sea. So at that stage, the choice is yours to decide what to do whether positive or negative. 1 Timothy1 vs 19: Cling tightly to your faith in Christ and always keep your conscience clean, doing what you know is right. For some people have disobeyed their conscience and have deliberately done what they know was wrong. It isn’t suprising that soon they lost their faith in Christ after defying GOD like that.  Now, from the above verse a picture of conscience was painted. Clinging your faith in Christ and keeping your conscience clear works together. Faith works together with conscience. I said earlier, we have good conscience and evil conscience. The good conscience obeys the voice of GOD. The good conscience works together with faith. The good conscience does what it knows is right. It is clear, it is always clear. It is willing to live honestly.
However, an evil conscience is not clear, not true. It does not obey the voice of GOD. It does not work with faith. The bible said in Hebrew 10 vs 22: let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Unlike the good conscience, the evil conscience is not pure, it fails. The good conscience works with faith and it never fails.
Furthermore, we are to keep our conscience clear and do what is right. we are to have a good conscience and not an evil conscience. A good conscience is pure, always washed with the blood of JESUS, while the evil conscience is corrupt and not purged. The bible said when you disobey your conscience, you lost your faith and defy GOD, what a disaster!
Conscience is a path/ medium GOD communicates to us, so when you disobey, you lost your faith and defy his name. Therefore, for you not to lost your faith and defy GOD’s name ensure you purge your conscience, and obey GOD’s voice. GOD is the speaker and author of the good conscience, while the devil is the speaker and author of the evil conscience.
Finally, Hebrew 9 vs 14: how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit is offered himself without spot to GOD. Purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living GOD. As children of GOD, we are to recognize the voice of GOD, we are to differentiate between the voice of GOD and that of the devil. Don’t be surprised, when the good conscience comes, the evil comes too; that is where faith comes in and discernment. we must discern the good conscience that is true, clear and apply our faith to it. It is well with our souls. Endeavour to purge your conscience daily from dead works and unrighteousness, so you could serve GOD and honor his name and not defy it.

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
