ARE YOU HOSPITABLE?

                                 ARE YOU HOSPITABLE?
To be hospitable is an act of being friendly and welcoming to guest and visitors. Are you hospitable? We ignore so many essential things which shouldn’t be ignored. Many family are inhospitable, they don’t like visitors; they dislike accommodating visitors. Are you in that category? Is your family in that category? Be hospitable. Be accommodating. Many families are accommodating, but not hospitable. They both must work together, when you are accommodating and not hospitable, it is as good as not accommodating. Many has ignored accommodating Angels in person of men, and don’t know. Show me an accommodating and hospitable man and family and I will tell you they will always be blessed. Some men are hospitable, but their wives are not. Some women are, but their husbands are not. It shouldn’t be, both husband and wife must learn and cultivate the habit, the act to be hospitable. The visitor can’t stay forever, just for a few time. Be hospitable and not inhospitable.
Moreover, the lord appeared to Abraham in form of an Angel that was his hour visitation. He suddenly noticed three men coming toward him, he sprang up and ran to meet them and welcomed them, Genesis 18 vs. 2. Are you happy to see your guest and visitors? Do you welcome guest when they come knocking? We should imitate Abraham here; he ran to meet them and welcomed them. vs. 3-4: ‘Sirs”, he said please don’t go any farther, stop awhile and rest here in the shade of this tree, while I get water to refresh your feet. vs. 5 continues and a bite to eat to strengthen you. Do stay awhile before continuing your journey.

Many lessons to be deduced, he convinced them to stay awhile and rest, he got water to refresh them, and a bite to strengthen them. That’s hospitality, many pray in their minds, their visitors hasten their leave, many wait till visitors ask for water to drink, which shouldn’t be. Many even reluctantly give visitors food, and not good food. They give them food that they can’t eat themselves. Be hospitable. Abraham was hospitable, and Sarah his wife was too; that was why their hour of visitation never passed them. Be hospitable, because who knows when Angels come visiting, Are you hospitable? Continue to be, your hour of visitation cometh and so shall ye be blessed the more. Hospitable people are blessed people and never lack, be hospitable! It is well with us……..

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

AN OUTCAST

AN OUTCAST An outcast is one that has been excluded from a society or system. He is labeled a beggar. He is an outsider. An outcast is a person that lacks care. An outcast is neglected and overlooked. He is demoralized. He is wounded in heart. He is labeled whom no one cares. He is one that has lost hope. He is one who is frustrated and dejected. He is one who is always deep in thoughts and sorrowful. He is one who lives like a foreigner in his own land. He is one who is distressed. He is one who gets dispossessed of his possessions. He is one who is perplexed. He is one who is troubled on every side. He is one who is despair. He is afraid of tomorrow. CHRIST came that we might have a restored hope. He came to bare that burden of ours. He came to give us that expected end. He came that we might have peace. He came that we might be healed . Isaiah 53 vs. 5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him, and w...
