THE
WAITING PERIOD
This write up is a critical stage in the life of a
man. There is always a waiting period in the life of a man. A lot have
experienced their waiting period; a lot haven’t experienced theirs; while many
will still at one point or the other experience theirs. A waiting period is a
time of staying or remaining in expectation. A waiting period is a time of many
cry and sorrow. A waiting period is an odd time. A waiting period is a time of
mockery. A waiting period is a disturbing time. A waiting period is a time of
deep thinking and reasoning’s. A waiting period is a time of agony and pain. A
waiting period is a period that seems all hope is lost. A waiting period is a
time of trials and tribulations. A waiting period is a time of self-pity. A
waiting period is a time of depression. A waiting period is a dark time. A
waiting period is a lonely time. It is devastating and worrisome. A waiting
period is a time of discouragement.
Furthermore, last week I read
from the newspaper a touching story of a woman that waited for years before
giving birth to a baby. She was disturbed, she faced a lot from her husband’s
family, she was mocked, she was confused, and she faced a lot that was her
waiting period. But she believed in the most High GOD, who doesn’t forget his
own. Oh what a waiting period! After several periods of waiting she gave birth
to a baby. GOD doesn’t forget his own; it is always good to wait upon GOD in
your waiting period. Those that wait on GOD are strengthened. The Psalmist says
wait on the LORD, be of good courage and he will strengthen you. Though it
takes grace to be courageous in your waiting period, but you have to gather
yourself together and wait on GOD. The bible says those that wait upon the
LORD, he will renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles,
run and not be weary, walk and not faint. Job faced his own waiting period, it
was difficult, but he waited on GOD. He said in Job 42 vs. 2: “I know that you
can do anything and that no one can stop you”. GOD can do anything; you need to
trust him waiting on him. Though sorrow might last by night, but joy cometh in the morning. It is well
with us……
