BEFORE
YOUR SAMUEL COMES
Many a time one’s expectation might pend and hold. All
may seem not rosy and smooth. People might tend to question your loyalty and
faithfulness to serving GOD. People around you might make mockery of you. You
might weep silently and be sorrowful within. You might think all hope is lost.
You might conclude the end has come. You might lose interest in trusting GOD.
You might be a subject of pity and sympathy. All doors might seem shut. All
opportunities might seem not forthcoming. All stars and glory might not rise
and shine. All efforts might be futile. All ways might seem blocked. All things
might seem not working well.
Hannah faced a lot before her Samuel came forth; she was a subject of mockery. Her rival Peninnah provoked and scorned her just because her Samuel isn’t coming forth. She was down casted, downhearted and her soul was disquieted. She wept a lot and turned weeping into her food to the point of losing appetite, just because her Samuel wasn’t forth coming. What then did she do before her Samuel came forth?
1
Samuel 1 vs.10- 11: And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto
the LORD, and wept sore. 11 And she
vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the
affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid,
but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the
LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his
head.
The bible records she rose up in bitterness of soul and prayed unto the LORD. Sitting down weeping, crying will not let your Samuel come forth. You need to rise up like Hannah and pray unto the LORD. The next thing she did was, she vowed a vow. GOD is a covenant keeping GOD. Making that vow to GOD might cause your Samuel to come forth.
Psalms
42 vs. 11: Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted
within me? Hope thou in GOD; for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of
my countenance and my GOD.
Finally, GOD hears the cry of the righteous when they cry. If Hannah was unrighteous GOD wouldn’t have heard her. Psalms 34 vs. 17: The righteous cry and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. Have you been blessed by this piece? Kindly share with others…. I do need a book publisher and marketer for my new book. It is well with us.
