A GOOD SOLDIER OF CHRIST

    A GOOD SOLDIER OF CHRIST
A soldier is a person who is in an army and wear its uniform. He is someone who fight when there is war, CHRIST has an army of soldier and he is the head of the army. He is the general and boss of the army. A good soldier of Christ must pass the test. An ordinary soldier undergoes activities just to be enrolled and enlisted in the army. He goes through a lot of training until he is fit for the army. He is taught a lot of things, before he could be part of the army. Apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 2 vs 3: Take your share of suffering as a good soldier of Christ; just as I do and as Christ soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in worldly affairs. Let me talk on these, Apostle Paul is a good example of Christ’s soldier, he suffered for Christ just because he preached the gospel; he was imprisoned, yet he still was more willing to suffer if that will bring salvation and eternal glory in Christ JESUS to those GOD has chosen. That is how a good soldier of Christ does, are you one?
Moreover, a good soldier of Christ do not let himself become tied up in worldly affairs, because he knows he is not of the world; but he is tied up with heavenly and godly affairs, because he knows when he set his affections on things above, that someday he is going to sit him GOD and reign with him. A good soldier follows the lord’s rule for doing his work. Paul made an athlete as an example, he said an athlete follows the rules or he is disqualified and wins no prize. A good soldier follows the rules of the lord and he is fit and qualified to win a prize at the end. A bad soldier is not qualified for the prize and does not follow the rules of the lord. A good soldier works hard like a farmer who get paid well if he raises a large crop. A good farmer cultivates and plant crop working so hard so he could harvest and sell at good prize, when it is time. That is how a good soldier does, he works so hard while on earth, he spreads the gospel to others, follow them up and bring them unto salvation, in turn he receives he receives a crown from the father GOD on the last day for a work well done. Are you a good soldier? Are you fit to be part of Christ’s army? If you are not a good soldier and not fit to be part of Christ’s army then you only need to repent from all your sins and accept Christ as your personal lord and savior.
Furthermore, work hard so GOD can say to you well done. Be a good workman, one who does not need to be ashamed when GOD examines his work. Know what his word says and means. A good soldier of Christ uses the word of GOD as his weapon and not a gun,the bible said the sword of the spirit is the word of GOD, therefore he must know what the bible says and meant.
Finally, as a Christian we are to be a good soldier of Christ. It is compulsory for all Christians to be enrolled in the army of the lord. We are vessels in the hand of GOD and must be useful. Be part of Christ’s army and be a good soldier of CHRIST.

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY

RETAINING YOUR INTEGRITY Integrity is a word which means steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. It also means the quality or condition of being complete and pure. It could also mean honesty, uprightness, purity, sincerity, decency, virtuous and wholeness. To retain is to keep in possession and maintain something. Many a time people find it difficult retaining their integrity. It takes determination to stand on your integrity. Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. GOD is a lover of men of integrity. Daniel 1 vs. 8-9: But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuch that he might not defile himself. Now GOD had brought Daniel into favor and tender love wi...

WORK ON THE WORD 2!

WORK ON THE WORD 2! David knew the essence of working on GOD’s word. He wrote in Psalm 33 vs. 4 (NIV): For the word of the LORD is right and true, he is faithful in all he does. He also hid GOD’s word in his heart that he might not sin against HIM. Psalm 119 vs. 11: Your words have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. Storing GOD’s word in our heart and doing according to it is working on the word. Keeping GOD’s commandment is working on his word. Proverbs 7 vs. 1-2: My sons, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with you. Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of your eye.               Furthermore, working on GOD’s word is being the hearer and doer of the word. James wrote in James 1 vs. 22-24:  But be you doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer; he is like to a man beholding his natur...

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES

WINNING THROUGH TESTIMONIES 2! An earthly father will be delighted and willing to do more for his son or daughter, when she/he shows gratitude. How will you feel when you give something tangible to a person and he didn’t show gratitude? You will feel unwilling to do more for such person. Our heavenly Father deserves to be shown gratitude for all He has done in our lives. Thank GOD for what He has done in the past, what He is doing presently and what He will do in the future. There is no little testimony; you just have to appreciate GOD for his faithfulness and marvelous deeds. Marvelous deeds like, the gift of life, which is the greatest of all blessings, good health and sound mind, sleeping and waking up. Many slept and never woke up, while many find it difficult to sleep. We have to see reasons to appreciate GOD; doing these will gladden Him to do more for us.              However, problems, trials, challenges might be in...
